Velasquez Automatic Music Company, Inc. (VAM) is Chicago's leading family owned coin operated Amusement Company. Founded by Arturo Velasquez in 1936, VAM has served businesses in the city and surrounding suburbs for more than 70 years.
Edward Velasquez, president of VAM, continues his fathers' legacy, by distributing jukeboxes, pool tables and videogames to restaurants, bars, hotels, and other gaming sites. Today Velasquez Automatic Music serves over 400 locations. The Velasquez family prides themselves in having a strong connection to the city and its communities. The family has been extremely active with the Back of the Yards community since 1963. They also serve on many community boards, such as the Rauner YMCA, board of managers for the Chicagoland YMCAs and active with Alivio Medical Center. VAM is an active member of the Illinois Coin Machine Operators Association, and Amusement and Music Operators Association a national organization.
